Scheduled, Guaranteed and Planned Maintenance

When it comes to your material handling equipment, it is beneficial to have a plan in place to keep equipment in good running condition. There are options that can help keep your equipment running smoothly as well as fit your budget.
Questions we often are asked regarding maintenance are below:
What do you mean by planned or scheduled maintenance services?
Each manufacturer provides a suggested schedule for maintenance to equipment, including a list of things to be complete and the time for each service. This leads to some of the “ups and downs” of maintenance expense as these recommended services hit companies at different times, leading to unpredicted cost. Often times, this can lead to skipping recommended services, which eventually leads to extended down time and additional expenses.
How exactly does this plan work?
This plan works through a partnership between your company and ACT. ACT provides the details of recommended services and notifies you as the time approaches for the services. We plan on a time to perform the needed service to minimize the impact on customer productivity. The expense has been a budgeted item, so your monthly payment to ACT includes our fees for these services, but at a budgeted monthly amount that meets with your approval.
Can we add other items to be covered?
During our initial meetings, we will work to uncover expense items, frequency of occurrence, and details of expense, so we can plan and include in our budget. Some examples include:
- Battery Care
- Replacement set of tires
- Seats
- Safety equipment
- Required Annual ANSI inspections
- Safety Training
How do I choose between scheduled and guaranteed maintenance plans?
Generally, upon application reviews, meetings, and surveys, we will offer recommendations and reasons for these recommendations. Again, we partner together to put in place the plan that meets your needs.
Are you ready for budgeted maintenance?
Why do expenditures always seem to occur at the worst possible time? There are specific expenses to ownership of equipment with moving parts, especially in the material handling and construction industries. Our equipment works hard for long periods of time, and we need this equipment to be running at peak performance to insure we can get the job done and meet customer demands for our product and services.
We are here to provide the answer to run away maintenance expenses and large service bills due to the normal use of the equipment. Our plans come in two major categories. First, we offer scheduled maintenance contracts for our customers. This contract includes all recommended maintenance, parts and labor, for an inexpensive and budgeted monthly payment. Second, we offer a guaranteed maintenance contract that includes all breakdown issues related to normal forklift usage items. Again, this plan comes with an inexpensive and budgeted monthly payment to help smooth the bumps in your expenditure road.
These plans also come at discounted rates and offer huge savings over the normal “time and material” billing method.
A list of items that are typically included:
